Another super book from Kerry Lord of Toft, this a collection of 50 dog breeds. As with all Toft patterns there is great support online and the they can be done in any weight yarn. The Lace Knittery current favourite is Romeo the Schnauzer!

Here at The Lace Knittery this heritage yarn holds a special place in our hearts. It was the inspiration many years ago to learn to knit and our love for lace knitting and colour work and ultimately beginning the company.
It is 100% Shetland wool, produced by over 300 crofters on Shetland. It is also spun and dyed on Shetland. It is available in over 220 colours and natural shades of the Shetland sheep.
It is traditionally used for fair isle knitting and gets softer with use and age. It is easy to weave in the ends and block.
It is lace/fingering/4ply weight. Each ball is 25g/105m.
Gauge 30stitches x32 rows =10cm/4inch square using US3/3.25 mm needles.

I know we are called The Lace Knittery but we do like crochet too! This pattern I designed to be used in any weight yarn. It twirls by itself and all the finishing that is required is a weaving in of ends.
It can be any length and is a good stash buster. The yarn in the photo is a DK weight natural baby alpaca, silk and cashmere yarn available from The Lace Knittery.
Toft is a well loved British brand and a favourite at The Lace Knittery. This book is filled with 40 different bird designs in colourful crochet. They are addictive.
Another classic from Marie Wallin with eight crochet designs. With colour work, surface detail and classic shapes. Makes me want to move The Lace Knittery HQ back to the east coast…I can smell the salt.
