    I have always encouraged and found that inspiration is everywhere. This cowl pattern takes it’s inspiration from The Red Hot Chilli Peppers song ‘Can’t Stop’ and specifically the music video!

    It is a cowl knitted in the round in sock weight yarn. You can knit all one colour or stripe as the example. The choice is yours. It has tubes around the right side which are not visible from the wrong/side next to your skin. It can be worn in several ways, looping twice around your neck, knotted to worn loose.   • Dye it Yourself Learn to Dye Yarn kit.

    At The Lace Knittery we have been dyeing our own yarn and fibre since 2010 and it is such fun. We have developed this kit to share a fascinating and enjoyable hobby. The colours are food colouring based and as such are entirely non toxic, so no specialist equipment is required. The kits contains full instructions, four colours which can be mixed or diluted into at least another ten. Each colour can be diluted into at least a litre of water meaning a little goes a long way. There are gloves, a spatula, pipettes (for making a dotty or splashed effect) and a 100g skein of yarn.

    The colour is set with heat and then it is washable.

    Enjoy at all ages from three to ninety three.
