A versatile yarn from Kremke Soul Wool. It is spun in Italy from 47% viscose, 41% polyester and 12% metal. Each spool is a single ply and lace weight. It mixes well with other fibres when knitting, crocheting, weaving and plying on a spinning wheel as well as being used as a thread for all kinds of sewing and mixed media. It is incredibly soft and does not shed…yay!
A beautiful mulesing free merino from Kremke Soul wool. It is lace weight 30/2 with 750m on each spool. One would be enough to knit a cobweb scarf but the range of colours work really well when combining and working graduated colour work. They can be used together, work extremely well with the Kremke Stellaris and also with any other yarn.
Each spool is 50g/750m. Washable at 30 degrees.
If used on it’s own 1.5-2mm needle or hook and 40stitches x 50 rows for a standard 10cm/4inch gauge square.
This beautiful yarn is part of a collaboration between La Bien Aimée and Rosa Pomar. Named after the Portuguese village once famed for its sock knitting cottage industry. This lovely 3ply yarn comes in a range of 45 colours. With its rustic nature this 100% portuguese wool is the perfect choice for both fair isle and cabled knitting.
Collection Two by Marie Wallin for Rowan comprising designs for women and the home. It champions a cause close to The Lace Knittery’s heart…the British wool industry.
At The Lace Knittery we are very proud to be a stockist of premium, heritage brands. We stock all of Marie Wallin books and British Breeds yarn. It has been blended by John Arbon (we also stock!) especially for Marie using four British wool breeds. It is super soft and is perfect for any colour work or Fair Isle project.
Another great book from Marie using Jamieson of Shetland Spindrift yarn (at The Lace Knittery we stock all 220+ colours) featuring colour work, lace designs, surface work and all in a beautiful to look at book.
We love a good hat pattern at The Lace Knittery and this book is full of them. From a range of designers there is something for everyone with fifteen in total using colour work and surface design. It also reminds me of trips to Loch Lomond and the stunning scenery.
In the word’s of The Lace Knittery’s youngest daughter ‘I want to knit every one’. Another great collection of eight hand knits from Marie Wallin for Rowan. It includes colour work, Fair Isle, and cable patterns.
The fourth collection by Marie Wallin for Rowan and this time exclusively for the wee ones. It is adorable with vintage inspired designs ranging from ages 2 to 10. Even though children at The Lace Knittery are now grown up young ladies it still makes me want to knit the designs.
A classic sock yarn from Germany. All colours are in short runs (so we don’t get bored) and each ball/skein is 100g/425m. The single colour skeins are hand dyed at The Lace Knittery HQ on an Opal sock yarn base.
A range ( that will be growing) of publications from Pom Pom Press. Each one is a beautiful collection of knitting an sewing that is timeless. Each book comes with a redeemable Ravellry code to download the entire book, schematics and patterns. I have decided sleep is over rated and will be creating something from each book.
